About Dana
I combine many years of legal experience with a compassionate and empathetic approach in my work with clients. My mission is to help people facing interpersonal conflict find clarity so that they can make good choices for themselves and their families. Growing up in a family of attorneys and social workers taught me to think critically and instilled a deep desire to help others. I attended Law School at the University of Texas on a full academic scholarship, graduating with honors, and went on to study at Victoria University of Wellington New Zealand where I deepened my focus in family law and dispute resolution. During my legal training, I interned for both the Texas Supreme Court and the Principal Family Court Judge of New Zealand.
It is important to me to help people find peace in their most significant relationships and I strive to make an exceptionally difficult time of life a little easier to bear for those in family transition or turmoil. I have been mediating conflicts since 1999 and have been practicing law in Colorado since 2001.
Because of my commitment to working for the public good, I mediate cases pro bono for Boulder County Legal Services and donate five percent of my business’ profits to charitable causes. My personal time is devoted to my husband and son. We enjoy Colorado’s beauty by skiing, camping, hiking, and cycling. Yoga and a mindfulness practice help me maintain personal balance.
